Review summary

Overall the cruise was wonderful.  There were a few quirks.  The cabins were too hot at all times.  Our room steward did not change the sheets every day.  There were several of the crew members that were very rude and acted like we were a bother.  The food in the MDR was kind of bland.  The excursions were great.  I really enjoyed the Turtle Farm in The Caymans.  It was very educational.  We had wonderful weather.  The buffet was good and Mongolian Wok was great.  We ate at Guys Burgers once and I didn't find it to be all that great.  The 4d theater was out of service the entire cruise.  This was one of the main reasons we booked this ship.  Also the rope course was open for about 2 hrs the whole trip.  This was my 7th cruise.  I guess I expected more to offer on the Breeze however I rate it at this point below The Magic.  We are booked again on the The Breeze next year.  I'll see if it's for the better.

I take bungee cords to keep the balcony does open. Keep in mind most of your AC will get sucked out and the cabin may become humid.

If you could find a way to wedge the door open it could be possible. ..debated doing it a few times..door is heavy and likes to slam in the wind....

@frankylido and. @snyderm I just got off the breeze this past Sunday and the cabin was too hot only at night. Throughout the day it was true temperature to what setting you had it at. But at night at the coldest setting it was very hot. My 8yr old would wake up drenched in sweat. And that's not normal for him. It felt as if after a certain time the AC just wouldn't get colder than a certain level

marne001 I have a question for you. On Carnival cruises can you leave your balcony door open? I've heard that because they are not sliders as they are on some other cruises I've been on, it is not possible. One of the biggest reasons I get balconies is so I can sleep with my door open and listen to the water.

Rlennon, you simply asked the question that most of us had in mind. I have observed the bed sheets changed on a seven-day day cruise only after I get off the vessel. On a few 7 day cruises with Carnival I observed the sheets being changed on Wednesday. In neither case did I get mud or dirt in my bed. Regarding room temperature I've been on 51 cruises many of them on Carnival in my experience I find the higher decks just are warmer doesn't matter what cruise line I'm on in the lower decks, e.g., one and two, tend to be cooler. So if you're hot natured or uncomfortable by being in a warm location or need to sleep in a cool room you want to be on deck one. And if you're one of those skinny people that wants to walk around with a blanket all the time you need to book on The Veranda Deck or higher and ask for extra blankets. Most cabin ac do not work as well as the one you have at home.

I would like to know more about the hot cabins, as well. I have always been really cold I the cabins and gave never experienced a hot cabin so far.

Amartinez, which floor/room type were you? Im just trying to get a grip on this "room is too hot" thing I keep hearing about. Did you have the thermostat adjusted to Coldest setting? Was the A/C not working, or is just weak A/C? Do you know exactly what the temperature was in your room? I have a friend that was on a balcony on Breeze that said the room waz ICE COLD, so Im confused st recent "too hot" comments. Thank you.

Changing sheets every day is a horrible waste of water and electricity.

valorier17    8 years ago

Why does anyone need their sheets change everyday? Don't you only do it once a week? In my opinion it is a complete waist of time and energy changing them daily. I make my own bed everyday anyway and always tell them (on a 7 day cruise) not to bother at all. If I'm on a longer cruise then once is fine. Pick your battles. :) happy cruising!!

do you change the sheets everyday when you're home?

sheetara86    8 years ago

no they don't change the sheets everyday..our cabin guy changed ours I believe on a Wednesday in the middle of the cruise..but believe me if you want to change them everyday they will!!!

wilkinsjk    8 years ago

On the cruise ships they only change the sheets on the day u get off the boat unless you ask them to change them sometime through out your cruise.
