Review summary

I needed medical assistance when on board an i was tol the doctor was off duty. That is unexceptable. I suffered an tryed to enjoy my self but it was very hard. As soon as i got off that ship an back on U.S soil i went right to the E.R an got the medical attention that was needed. I walked threw the doors an the nurse took me right back an the doctor was in with in 30 seconds an got me on the meds an iv,s i needed on that ship an he also had a ultra sound that was needed. So a again very POOR.... I know no doctor that is off duty.

FYI: and does not equal an, and (,) doesn't equal (')!! If you were suffering the nurse would have contacted the dr on call. Maybe you just didn't want to pay the fee. If you were bad enough to need IV fluids, I'm assuming possibly IV antibiotics also. They could have done all of that on the ship, however you would have had o consent to treatment. The nurses and dr's have a duty to treat.

Didn't the nurse assess you? I thought they saw you when they are off duty but is a higher rate. Like they are on call??

The doctor was off duty the whole trip or was this just at the end? I am sure only so many resources out at sea.
