Review summary
My husband and I liked the cruise on the Carnival Breeze that sailed on September 21, 2014. We thought that the Breeze's deck plan layout was a bit confusing. Our balcony suite was on deck 7, mid ship but we were always getting lost as we navigated to the Sapphire Dining Room that was located on the opposite side of the ship. It would have been more convenient for us to have our Dining Room assignment on the same side of the ship. As compared to other Carnival ship, the Breeze was definitely a larger ship, but not as well put together. Since this ship is new, the passengers should not be seeing rust on the exterior of the ship or carpet that is not properly glued down in the Dining Room. As for service, the stateroom steward was great. The waiter team in the Dining Room was just okay with the exception of Rosanna that served us on Sunday and Monday evening. The shows In the Ovation lounge on Sunday and Monday were about the same and were so-so. We never bother going back the remainder of the cruise. Glad there was the alternate Dive-In Movie that we caught the other two evenings. On debarkation, we had to leave the stateroom by 8:30 a.m. and sit in the Ovation lounge to wait until our tag number was called. We were tag # 27 and it was never called so we debarked along with the last numbers called since we had to catch transportation home. Overall, my husband and I would like to give the Breeze another chance if the customer service improves.

Ship tip
If you needed some quiet time, the Serenity deck was a great place to spend some alone time. Also, there are hot tubs in various place on the ship for those cruisers that wanted to spend some time soaking.
