Review summary

You need to think twice before you lift COVID restrictions. We wore a mask all week except when eating & drinking. And came home with COVID!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Had all documents ready. Out in 10 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food is subjective. But we had only 1 meal we couldn’t eat. Staff were great. Service was a little slow at first but as the week progressed the service improved. Roland at the Good Spirits Bar was the best!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Did not participate

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The theater was packed. The only show we saw in whole was Bravo & it is was great.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Sergio & Maria made our dining room experience special. Room steward Al was very good. Like Princess door system.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ships lay out is very unusual. We’ve been on 30 cruises & this is the only ship you can’t get to one place to get to another but have to go up to go down!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Clean serviceable. Worst shower. Small& curtain was impossible & we aren’t that big!

Ship tip

Wear a mask! Be prepared to get COVID. We tested positive when we got back! No one was hardly ever wearing a mask!

Ports of call

Quebec City, Quebec

Did custom check in bar harbor so was able to walk right off. Didn’t hear any announcement that your luggage tag was called. Staff seemed just as confused!

If you are worried that you may get covid on your vacation/cruise, then the best thing you should is just stay home for tge next 50 years or so. Covid is here to stay and currently is not any worse than any flu. I'm assuming you are are vaxxed, which basically is not saying much, since a person still can spread or receive covid. Wearing a mask is not really going to help much, which even CDC has admitted to, so since covid is everywhere, you can live in fear of it and lock yourself in your home or get out and enjoy life.....your choice.

Contrary who what you have been told masks don’t work, they don’t prevent Covid. The vaccines don’t prevent Covid either.

It doesn't matter either way. My sister went on a fully vaccinated cruise and they all came back with covid. They didn't catch any planes or anything. Just have to wear mask. Stay out of people face and mainly clean your cabins because you're most likely to get it from your cabin steward. They clean everyone's room and is in close contact with everyone

Thanks for the review. Covid is common in many places now, not just cruise ships. The CDC just remove the recommendation today for hospitals and nursing homes unless they are in a high transmission area. From CDC today “Outside of communities seeing "high" levels of COVID-19 transmission, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has ended a blanket plea for Americans in hospitals and nursing homes to wear masks indoors.”

Did you wear a mask in airport and plane?Did you wear it at all ports you went to? You have no clue where you caught it. If you’re worried about not lifting restrictions then stay home. Just saying. Everyone must make their own decisions in life.

C'mon guys, you've been hearing all this close to 2 years now. Standard masks do prevent the spread of covid. Standard masks do not effectively prevent you from getting infected with covid. This is all why hospitals still require visitors to wear the standard masks and why the staff wear N95 masks

anisah2000    2 years ago

Honestly, you can get covid anywhere and anyone truly concerned with getting it shouldn't cruise or go anywhere unmasked people may be. Which is everywhere now.

Regular disposable masks and the way people wear them do not stop anything. Still, if you feel safer with a mask, wear it but don't expect or demand everybody do the same.

So, what you are saying is, masks do not prevent the spread of covid.

Shh813    2 years ago

Anyone cruising now is bound to get Covid. People are not really caring whether they give it to others. IMO
