Review summary

I liked the age diversity without a lot of young kids. Had a good mix of teenagers to an older crowd. Food was not that great in the Market place but I enjoyed the Salty Dog, The pizza place and the Fine Dining. Our head waiter Dan was the Best!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was in the perfect location on the 5th flr Plaza. You walk thru the art gallery and the International Cafe was on the right with 2 bars on each side. We had 4 people to include my husband and 2 teen daughters a bit small for the 4 of us but was totally fine. Room was clean and had an ocean view. No complaints.

Ship tip

Go to the Salty Dog Cafe early. Line gets long at lunch. Food there is good. Had the burgers and chicken tacos and liked both.

Ports of call

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Went on the Catamaran snorkel and had a great time. It was a 25 min ride to the catamaran from the port. The crew was fabulous Eduardo, Mendy, Ben, the Machine, and I think Michael. All were great! Lunch was plentiful and super yummy! Ham sandwiches, fruit, potato salad, and coleslaw. DR Rum drinks and El Presidente beer!πŸ˜πŸ‘ Played music and had a great vibe going. Snorkel was fun lots of fish. I just wish there was a more variety of types of fish but still very cool.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Do Not confuse Grand Turks with the main Turks and Caicos. It’s a 7mile separate island. The port was fine. Beaches are beautiful. But we got a golf cart and toured the island which is VERY run down and really nothing to see or do. The main area of Cockburn is really only a few small shops and a takeout restaurant called Barbies. We had the conch fritters which were good. Lots of donkeys and wild horses. Conch shells everywhere.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We walked around Old San Juan and had an amazing meal with chicken rice and beans. The architecture is beautiful. Lots of shops selling the average touristy stuff.
