Remember Carnival controls the Princess line and many amenities have been taken away such as simple beach bags, chocolate on pillows, special occasion recognition, etc.

The elimination of the chocolates at night was due to the pandemic protocols. We were on the Enchanted in January and many people had a beach bag as they exited the ship for Caribbean beaches. So not sure why no beach bags now.

Carnival purchased Princess almost 20 years ago though. The amenity cuts of chocolate and beach bags is recent.
