The first part of the cruise was relaxing. The exposure to the medical facilities and the extremely large bill left me in shock and because of this we will probably stop cruising altogether. Not worth the risk.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
embarkation was easy with the medalon
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
All aspects of dining were very good which is typical of Princess after 14 cruises
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Relaxing most of the time. We do not like a lot of excitement. The promenade deck was good for jogging. Do not get sick on Princess and use the medical infirmary, my wife needed got the flu the 5th day of our 7 day cruise, spent one night in the infirmary and was charged $5000. A little outrageous. hopefully the travel insurance will reimburse us but can not take the risk again, probably our last cruise beware.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The wait was too long, had to be there 45 minutes early to get a seat. Shows are worth it to me.
Children's Programs
no children
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Service staff were great, even the medical staff although I'm beginning to think it was part of the manipulation because there initially told us the cost would be a few hundred dollars for the preliminary services but did not tell us the cost of an overnight stay. I was in shock at the $5000 bill.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
nice ship after the refurbishing
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
good size for a balcony,comfortable.
Ship tip
DO NOT GET SICK AND NEED MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE POINT OF NEEDING TO STAY A NOGHT IN THE INFIRMARY. THE EXTREME COST WILL LEAVE YOU IN SHOCK. GET THE FACTS BEFORE HAND.
About as much as my husband was charged for a land based er visit so no different...cant live life worrying about the what ifs... that is what travel insurance is for
