The hike to the Maracas Waterfall was guided by the most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered on a Princess sanctioned shore excursion.

Anniebh yes we did book an excursion but had a hard time too, finding one that appealed to us. I go stir crazy on the ship though and am usually just glad to get off! We’re going to have to re-think Trinidad though. You’d think if it was that dangerous, Princess wouldn’t stop there. Hopefully they have one of those silly commercialized Cruise Ship terminals (which I normally don’t enjoy) so we can at least get off for an hour or two and stay near the ship.

CarolE127 we are on that cruise in March too and decided to stay on the ship when it stood in Trinidad. We stopped at Trinidad in 2010, got off the ship and walked around Port of Spain, it was pretty dirty and didn't feel like the safest place. I looked at the Princess excursions but didn't see one that really appealed to us.

I agree...reading it is overrun with drugs and crime...we are passing on that stop too..
