Review summary
I was really looking forward to the cruise on the Caribbean Princess. It started out fantastic. Every crew member I met was fantastic. Very nice and answered any questions I had. The check-in was a breeze. The stateroom was nice. The stateroom attendant, Camillo was the best. The first day, I went to the buffet for lunch and it was not very good. They put seasoning in things that should never have seasonings. I thought, okay, maybe it will be better. The dining room was not much better. The shrimp was not cooked enough. One night I ordered the Filet Mignon, medium well. When I order that, it usually has a little pink and it's juicy. The one I got, looked like an overdone, thin hamburger. It tasted horrible. My sister's was the same. She sent hers back and they said they cooked another one "medium". It was rare. I did not go back to the dining room. I tried the pizza, it was okay, not the best. I tried the hamburger, too many spices on it. Never ate at either place again. I ordered a couple of little boxes of cereal every morning from room service and I usually ended up eating that for lunch and supper. I would go to the buffet for breakfast and have a fried egg with a cold biscuit or just fruit. If you want to lose weight, this is the cruise to go on. Also, I have never been on a cruise that felt like a car constantly hitting bumps in the road and then start shaking. It would wake you in the middle of the night. There were no big waves or anything. We lost a generator after our second port too.

WOW...you sure you were on the Caribbean Princess??? We sailed on the CP back in April 2015 doing a Trans-Atlantic to the UK and even though the CP is a "Cruise Ship" and not an "Ocean Liner" (yes there IS a difference), she handled the Atlantic as though we were sailing on a lake and we were also on the Rivera deck!! I will agree that the seasonings the chefs used in the buffet were kinda weird tasting, after the 2nd day we spoke to the hotel manager, he spoke to the chefs and they said it was a new spice they were using. After that, they didn't use it anymore and the food in the buffet improved. But the main dining room food was awesome. NEVER a complaint. I can't see how things could have changed that much in less than one year. As for the "bumps", your on the ocean, it comes with the territory on ANY ship if the seas are rough. Even cars can't avoid rough roads.
