Review summary

Buffet and poolside food was better than our last cruise (Carnival), and dinner/service in the dining room was great - one small disappointment was that surf & turf is not offered on 5-night cruises.  Fast and efficient dinner service.  Good selection.  We took advantage of the adult beverage package which we thought was reasonably priced.  Very nice and large fitness center.  Our mini-suite with balcony was AWESOME.  Our steward was very friendly and efficient, however I did miss the towels folded like little animals (Carnival)!  Bars and poolside drink service was not quite as friendly and quick as I remember from Carnival.  No one was UNfriendly, by any means, however on past cruises it seems like we had the same waiters poolside every day and they knew our names on Day 1 plus came around more frequently to take orders.  Fun activities and contests, hosts were very entertaining.   Good selection of in-room and big screen movies.  We had good weather every day.  The ship was very well-maintained and clean.  Scheduling of shows in the Princess Theater (comedy and magic shows) kind of conflicted with dinner times.   Lots of photo opportunities - the photo package is a good deal.  Long lines for photos some nights.  Wide range of ages, not many little kids, but the kids there did seem to be having fun!

we thought about renting bikes, but there was a LOT of traffic so was better to take a shuttle bus - after the crowd thinned out a bit we were able to negotiate a slightly different itinerary with a shutte driver - he gave us a guided tour to "Hell" and waited for us to take a few pics there, then gave us information about various beaches so we could choose one that was most to our liking and took us there and waited for us. He was very friendly ("Mr Donald Welcome") and the price was very reasonable, I think it was $12pp for this transportation, commentary and advice.

Dunns River Falls is amazing! Murray and Keneal were great guides.

I climbed Dunn's River Falls and had a blast.   How wonderful that you were able to stay in a mini suite.  I have never done this.
