Nice New England Canada Cruise

Sail Date: August 01, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

Both more and less than what we expected. Brought a family of four, and two grandparents along. Grandparents had a very good time, parents had a good time, 16 year old had an OK time and 12 year old didn't.
Ship was good though difficult to get to some areas from others and elevators were slow. Large lounges were unavailable for bingo and good entertainers were squeezed into smaller areas, really didn't make sense.

Pros: cabins

Cons: Port Stop St. Johns

Recommends Caribbean Princess? Yes!

Food and Dining
Set time dining was nice but the menu promised more than it could deliver. Too many old fashioned dishes, beef wellington and baked alaska which were NOT good. It would be better to concentrate on other items. All vegetables were EXCELLENT would reccomend cruise to vegetarians
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Entertainment on first half was good second half poor. See everything on the first 2 days!
Cabin / Stateroom
For an obstructed view it was a great cabin, plenty of room, clean
Ship Quality
for a large ship difficult to get around sometimes. Theater was on the small size for the number of passengers
Children's Programs
actually two ratings. Teen program was very good, program for 10-12 years old was poor. Weren't treated appropriate for age and expected to do things on the young side. Coloring for 12 year olds really!
Boston, Massachusetts
Need to get more cabs to the dock faster.
Saint John, New Brunswick
Nothing there
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Don't Miss: Maritime Museum
Bar Harbor, Maine

Don't Miss: National Park
Newport, Rhode Island
crowded!
