We just returned from a 9 day cruise on the Carribean Princess ship. The ship was huge although it didn't feel crowded. The major drawback that we had with the ship is that it had NO game room or place to play cards or games. Also the library did not have any place to sit and read. Since the events going on in the Piazza and lounges were very loud, it was hard to find a quiet place to talk, read, or play games.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The convenience of dining times were great and the wait staff was superb!! Mariana and Jigger never missed a beat in getting us what we wanted for dinner.
Would have liked more variety in the menu. Overall the food was good, but could have been better. Breakfast seemed to have the least variety in the dining rooms - no waffles, french toast, etc. Omelletes were often undercooked and runny.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
It was often difficult to get into the shows and the entertainment was average at best.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Jonathan in the Crooner's Lounge always went above and beyond. He remembered us and what out drink order preferences were. Marianna and Jigger in the Palm dining room went the extra mile to request special foods that she had the chef make for us. Simo and Eduardo in the Coral dining room were always friendly, pleasant, and willing to accomodate.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Sometimes the bathroom were not always clean. We could have use more signs, etc to help us navigate around the ship. Again, we missed the game room that we always found on other ships.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Stateroom seemed great - balcony certainly made the room seem large. Only complaint was that we asked to have the lamp fixed beside the bed and it was never fixed - bulb flickered on and off continuously which made it difficult for reading.
