Review summary

Our favorite part of every trip is always the crew on board the Royal Caribbean ships. They are wonderful and well trained.

Embarkation

I paid extra for The Key, however when we got to the port the roped off line for priority boarding was blocked off and we couldn’t use it. There was no one from the port or cruise line to direct us where to go. I pay the extra because I get bad anxiety in crowds and would prefer not to be around that many people at once. When we finally got onto the ship we went to guest services and spoke to Nikola, he was wonderful and sent someone to investigate. The RC staff is always great though. I really hope they get this sorted.

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
As many people have said the food quality across the board has gone down. We knew to expect it, so we weren’t surprised. My personal disappointment was that they no longer serve escargot every single night. That really disappointed me because I checked the menus for every night before we got on and they listed escargot… however they changed the menu on the 3rd night going forward and no longer served it. I will say our waiters were phenomenal! Ralston and Ikomang were the absolute best!!

Nikola in Guest Services is an absolute treasure!!! He calmed me down and was amazing to us. Our waiters, Ralston and Ikomang were wonderful. Such hard workers and so kind, we looked forward to seeing them every night for dinner.

Ship tip

Get The Key! Totally worth it!

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Four different boats were disembarking at the same time at the port. It was hugely crowded, and the port dumps you right into their downtown area. We had to duck into a bar and get something to eat right away to get out of the huge crowd of people.

You said the key was worth it but it didn’t help you get on board sooner? Explain? The rest of your review was great. Thanks for sharing.
