The perfect multi-generational vacation! We were each able to go at our own speed, seek out the experiences we were interested in, and come together again for meals and family time.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We had the misfortunate of waiting for a fog locked ship- the delay was unfortunate and resulted in our group wondering around Tampa after our hotel check-out, spending additional money for activities and food. We were grateful that Royal Caribbean refunded the cost of the day on ship that we lost, but that amount did not even cover what we had to spend additionally for an unexpected day in Tampa. However, when the ship arrived and was ready for boarding the process was smooth and fast with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
During the cruise I ate at the Windjammer Cafe for breakfast and lunch and the Minstrel Dining Room on deck 4 for dinner. At the buffet I could always find something delicious and interesting and appreciated how reliably items were refilled and kept fresh and hot. The service in the main dining room was excellent and overall the food was good as well. I did order stuffed portabellas early in the week that were a total disappointment- bland and mushy. I would love to see a vegetarian option on the classics menu to give an option each night other than the single vegetarian dish offered on the rotating menu.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All staff we interacted with were friendly, highly competent, and made an effort to connect with us, remember our names, etc.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Every part of the ship I spent time in was clean and comfortable throughout the entire voyage- quite a feat and a testament to the excellent staff making that happen!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We found the cabin fully comfortable and loved the view of the waves through our porthole window! The cabin staff were attentive and always did a great job turning over the room when we were out and about.
Ship tip
The promenade deck makes for lovely, quiet walks with some of the most interesting architecture and sights on the ship!
That's nice that you got some refund from RC because when that happened to me on November 26th (7.5 hour delay) we didn't get anything.
If you paid by a credit card, check to see if you have trip delay coverage. Sometimes if it's delayed 6 hours you can get certain expenses reimbursed by filing a claim with your card. Same is true if you have travel insurance.
