Great cruise with a great itinerary. The ship is bright and open with wonderful views. The staff and crew are engaging. The food in the specialty restaurants is great, but you'll be fine with the complimentary options also.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was great. I had The Key so I checked-in, got my room key, and was escorted on board with no delay. The queue to board did not seem long. It doesn't appear that there would have been a wait either way.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
MDR was fine. Food quality and temp were on par with expectations. Service as always was excellent. Waiters were attentive and strived to make dining a pleasant experience. Specialty restaurants were exceptional. The buffet was crowded and since we were in chillier climate, the outdoor seating wasn't coveted. The food choices were substantial and if you aren't overly picky you should be able to find something fulfilling. The breakfast egg station in the buffet is the best.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Standard fare for a ship of this class. Trivia, Bingo, dance classes, etc
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Standard fare. The ship's entertainers were talented, the acts brought on board were decent, some more impressive than others but all relatively entertaining. There were generally seats available.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Professional, friendly, and engaging employees. Jason at Schooner bar is one of the best and was always willing to mix a nice non-alcoholic mocktail. The gentleman at Café Latte-Tudes were always fun and energetic and great at remembering my changing orders and figuring at which one I wanted based on the time of day.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
My room was very clean. I'm thankful to my stateroom attendant, but I also suspect the passengers in the room before me did a deep clean. The hidden dust I usually find when cleaning was non-existent. The shared ship spaces were kept tidy. The public restrooms were clean. The waiters in the windjammer worked diligently to clear the vacated tables and to refresh the theatre between shows.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Junior Suite obstructed view 1598. The obstruction was minimal. The balcony was huge. The bathroom was nice. There was a kettle in the room. The walk in closet was great. The cabin had a window and sliding glass door so lots of natural light. The cabin is far aft so it's a long walk but it helps you get in your 10K daily.
Ship tip
Deck 6 Aft is a great place to relax and see the aft sail away views.
Beautiful walkable city. There's so much to see and do. Mind the bicycles, they have the right away. Use the hop on/off to get away from city center and explore other areas of the city.
RCL offered Stay Awhile on this ship so I was able to disembark later, 2:30. This was a great option. I still had to be out of the room by 8:30 but I had full access to all other facilities. Disembarkation was a breeze, considering everyone else was going the other way and boarding the ship.
