Review summary

We were surprised at how smooth the seas were until the final day. TheNorth Sea lived up to its reputation during the final 24 hours of the cruise, but weather was fantastic the rest of the time. We didn’t need most of the clothes we packed in anticipation of the weather in port. Cold and windy at sea (more in line with what we expected).

Embarkation

MDR was typical. Windjammer was crowded (what’s new about that?) Chops was ok. Giovanni’s Table was excellent.

Onboard Activities

Too cold and windy on most days for outdoor activities. (Some pool activities were cancelled )

Don’t neglect the harbor area (to the left of the shuttle stop vs. straight ahead to “downtown”.

Took a bike tour. Should have done something else.

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

Fantastic.

Helsinki, Finland

Ice bar was cute novelty. Because it was so far out of town, we didn’t have a lot of time to see/explore much else.

Stockholm, Sweden

Vasa Museum was great!

Copenhagen, Denmark

Traffic is deplorable.

Disembarkation

Ship was late getting in due to bad weather on the last day at sea. Everything was delayed, but went smoothly.
