Review summary

Our cruise started without my seapass being located. Due to this we where put out the entire cruise. We had purchased a beverage package way in advance, but with the card MIA we had to hunt down someone selling the cards, wait in line for them to give me my sticker. (Their error they should have been accommodating and done this) but, it gets worse. This card had a glitch. Day 2 we checked our account and there were 2 drink charges one from pool bar the other from latitudes. Went down to GS, had them fixed, day three again, 2 more charges latitudes and main dishing room! Well you get the picture everyday we had to spend time in line to fix all this. Day 2 went to the art auction..,this was way cool and The staff so warm and knowledgeable. And I won not 1 but 2 drawings..,one was a $50 gift certificate to the spa. And I had a $ 50 coupon for being a loyal Royal traveler. The spa refused to allow me to use them together I was not happy but went ahead and booked my stone massage. I arribved 15mins early as instructed and was hurdled into the waiting area with the other 2pm appointments. I sat there filled out my form and watched everyone else get called for their appointment...yah, not me. At 2:20 I went back up front and told them I no longer wanted the service. The man up front looked at me and said, are you sure you do not want to wait a bit longer, I replied I am very sure and the. He asked me to reschedule for our port day...no thanks. And he then apologized and explained that they got slammed due to the storm cancelling our port. Odd, since my appointment had been booked the day before, when no one knew we would not be able to go into port! Also, when I checked in I was informed my therapist was not in yet? In my 2 visits there to make appointment and this fiasco I saw very hard core sales of their products. Anna the manager, not a nice woman. Royal is either becoming very cheap or the Brilliance is...no lobster night on this cruise the other 7 we had been on always have one lobster night on a formal night. No bar snacks any longer, no captains champagne toast? Main did I get room service was very slow. It appears our servers had way to many tables. They are lovely when you get them to you...but we waited for water refilled every night, the host staff sat us without menus one evening and it took our staff about 15mins to notice. Our room attendant Tyrone is the bomb! He worked very hard, was friendly and went above and beyond! He needs a raise and a promotion. We found Vintages bar staff very snotty and unattentive except to certain guest, probably why it was never full. Schooners bar staff very accommodating and always full. The best part of our cruise was eating at Chops. The service was fine dining service. The food was amazing. It was a lovely night for us. My hope is that this was just a Brilliance of the seas issue...I would hate to have to jump over to a new cruise line.

Lobster is served on 7 nights or greater cruises on RCCL.
