All in all we had a great time. Just a few disappointments on the ship as reviewed above.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived early before noon and check in was quick and smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was what you would expect, good and plenty of it! Some dishes were disappointing such as the lobster bisque in the main dining room. Also thought the formal captain's night dinner would be more special. Didn't expect to have to pay an additional $30 for a lobster dinner.
Champagne Bar
4 out of 5
Very pleasant and quiet venue for sailing out of Tampa port. Nice wine selection and service.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Solarium very relaxing and quiet. Fitness center had a vast selection of machines and the views were beautiful in the front of the ship. Theater shows at night were good. Disappointed that casino was smoky.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Band/Orchestra was terrific! Productions were good. Game shows at night were entertaining.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Main dining room personnel were terrific. Out steward was fine and very friendly, but I did find our bedroom furniture dusty.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship areas and layout fantastic. Always well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin layout and size was great and very comfortable. Every day cabin was cleaned, but I did find our bedroom furniture was dusty. Loved our balcony. Only negative was that suite next to us had people smoking on the balcony which I thought was prohibited, but seems that staff never did anything to stop it.
Ship tip
Keep away from spring break weeks! Some very rude young people aboard.
Very clean, friendly island. This was our second visit. First we swam with stingrays and snorkeled with Captain Marvin. This visit we swam with dolphins at Dolphin Discovery. Both experiences were excellent! Also enjoyed Seven Mile beach......gorgeous.
Second visit. We did a snorkel excursion with Playa Mia tours. Just disappointed we did not get to do the planned snorkel stops as they said weather/current too strong. However, the catamaran trip was excellent, snorkeling equipment was great and the snorkeling was fine. Afterwards, we sailed for about 40 minutes to the special beach resort of Playa Mia which was fantastic. What a day!
We did self assist which was the first group to be able to get off the ship. Many others chose this as well. Very long line to get off but run very efficiently.
