Review summary

Royal Caribbean Cruise review 04 08 17

The web site said the family cabin 1054 bedrooms would be configured as one royal king bed and one double bed. Upon arrival the second bedroom could not be set up as a double bed. This was a problem for our son and his wife having to sleep apart on their first romantic cruise.

We had also requested a medical refrigerator for medicine, the one in the cabin did not work so a small red refrigerator was brought in as a replacement. This unit did not work either. Finally a small electric cooler was brought to our cabin that worked. The unit had to sit on the floor, in the way of walking. Our medicine could not be kept cool for the first 36 to 40 hours.

Also in the main dining room we had had a party of five and they tried to seat us at a table for four with tight space. When we requested a larger table for our party of five the staff placed a five top in the same space as the four top which did not have the room for my wife or my self to sit. We had to squeeze in to our seats. Our 2 ½ year old grand child’s chair was pushed as close to the table as it could get because of the guests at another table had to have room. Because of your over site we spent the rest of our cruise searching for a comfortable place to eat. Both times your staff insisted it was our fault.

When we did make reservations at your specialty restaurant people who arrived after us had eaten and left before we received our meal.  Your staff kept telling us our food was on the way, it never came.  We left hungry again looking for food.

The concierge tried to correct the problems by offering another cabin for our son, his wife and daughter.  This was all she could do but did not fit our needs as we wanted to spend time with our children so we made do.

On top of everything else we had contacted customer service to confirm the requests for a medical refrigerator, bedroom configurations and dining room seating and was assured all would be ready.
