Review summary

The Brilliance of the Seas is a beautiful ship. However, we were greatly disappointed in the luncheon buffet - sometimes inedible, and the buffet for breakfast was just average. They ran out of bathrobes for us, and had septic system problems. The casino had a few non-smoking nights and that was great. The show with Marty Allen and his wife Karon Kate was fantastic. Everyone was talking about it. It was a pleasant surprise since the other shows were not so good. Loved the Jewel of the Seas, so I guess our problems were with the particular ship and not the cruiseline.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

We loved the private island. The beach was beautiful and we were supplied with umbrellas and lounges free of charge. The barbeque lunch was below average. The worst part is that we were literally ATTACKED by the vendors wanting to sell their wares. We wanted to shop, but they made it too uncomfortable to do so. We literally had to run away from them. Much too aggressive!!

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Tour company took us to the wrong Sandals resort location which was very disappointing. They refunded 50% of tour fee, but we didn't get to see the beautiful beaches we expected.

Willemstad, Curacao

We took the trolley tour. It was the most boring tour wehad ever been on. Very disappointed since we had never been to Curacao before and wanted to see more of the island. There is nothing to see in the city other than various government buildings and offices.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Went on a $29 per person trip to a beach. We were told we could rent umbrellas and lounges there. The cost was $20-$25 for the umbrella and $10 each for the lounges. $100 to go to the beach not including food!!!!

Pros: The main attraction show

Cons: the food
