Review summary

Sun, relaxation, super food, what more could you ask for.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Check in at Bristol Airport was quick, efficient and the flight departed on time. Upon arrival in Valletta, we were off the coach, checked in and sat on lido deck enjoying the sun within 15 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in all eateries from the pool side grill, buffet to main dining rooms was excellent. Dishes were freshly prepared, hot, nicely presented and with a wide range of options. The vegetarian meals were particularly good. Certain drinks weren't available in all bars but suitable alternatives were available.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty of activities on offer for all ages ranging from toddlers to the elderly.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Plenty of entertainment to suit all tastes in every venue. The live music around the lido pool was good especially Pulse the house band and Ashleigh the busker. Pianist in the Planet Bar was relaxing to listen to.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff throughout the ship were friendly, attentive and helpful. Our waiter in the main dining room went out of his way to ensure I was offered lactose free butter, icecream and knew which options on the menu were safe to eat or could be adjusted to suit my dietary requirements.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining all areas of the ship. It was spotless throughout and as soon as diners finished at tables etc, the dishes etc were cleared immediately. The ship is simple to navigate even for first timers.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was lovely with a larger than average sized balcony. The pillows were comfortable and it was kept immaculately clean by the steward.

Ports of call

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
A great city which I think reflects the real Italy especially culturally. We used the hop on off bus to view the sights having previously visited other attractions like the Tunnels, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Very busy but authentic.

TUSCANY REGION, ITALY

5 out of 5
Florence and Pisa are within 2 hours drive of the port. Florence is beautiful especially the architecture.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Gateway to Rome and all the tourist attractions. Worth taking an excursion as not much in the town itself. We went to nearby Tarquinia with its scenic countryside and medieval buildings. Sadly, our trip didn't stop at the etruscan tombs.

Ajaccio, Corsica

5 out of 5
Plenty to see and do on the island. We revisited the tortoise sanctuary which was very peaceful.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Ship to airport transfer was quick and faultless with the return flight departing on time.
