Review summary

Definitely recommend. Excellent food in main restaurant. Staff were superb and felt really relaxed at the end, even battling through Southampton and Salisbury on the way home.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Staff at terminal very efficient. However, had to wait 2 hours for luggage to arrive at cabin

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Oriental restaurant food was superb and our waiters were the best. Marks slightly down because the buffet restaurants didn’t have much hot vegetarian alternative to the meat, other than curry and noodles. Had 2 breakfasts there, again no vegetarian meat alternative and one day the food was lukewarm. Mostly good, but nowhere near as good as the main restaurant

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Looked excellent although didn’t use them

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Mixed feelings. Onboard orchestra, most of other performers (apart from one comedian 😱🙈) were really good, but we walked out of every resident band and singers performances

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Faultless, esp Catherine our steward and our two waiters

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very clean and well maintained but an horrendous smell on deck 7 for a couple of days. Would be nice to have access to bow of ship like on the Ventura

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Disembarkation

Late back because of medical emergency onboard. Crew did an outstanding job and got us away as close to the original time as possible
