Review summary

A very comfortable ship, and cruise, with good entertainment, food and drink, and easy ports to enjoy. Luckily, even in the larger ports, we had limited giant ships in port with us, making for more comfortable port visits with reasonable tours and excursions offered.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drink options were all good. The main dining room had good food and service, but Prime C Steakhouse was superb. Aquafina was also good, but we felt the service was lacking on 1 of th 2 times we ate there. We also found that the selection of included beer, wine and spirits was good and appreciated not having to sign for drinks continuously, as on some other lines.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Music and shows were good. Pool was way too crowded with not enough deck space for easy use.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the ships singers and dancers, the orchestra, and the various other singing and musica groups on board throughout the cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Generally very friendly and efficient.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We like the ships layout and public areas. This was our third time on this ship, with 3 different owners and Azamara has done a nice job renovating it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was quiet and comfortable except for the relatively small bathroom. We have gotten used to the suites on this class of ships and will likely go back to them, although the price difference in higher on Azamara than on the similar Oceania ships

Ship tip

Don’t arrive too much before your alotted embarkation time or you will sit in the terminal and wat for your assigned group to be called.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation went smoothly, although there were not enough customs Agen’s on duty to keep from having delays. In particular there was also no Global Entry lane. None of this is Azamara’s fault, however.
