A really relaxing cruise by karlcab

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Arcadia / Destination: Europe

From first boarding the ship you are made to feel welcome it is an older ship what ever she may lack in climbing walls and such the crew make up for from the captain down to the cabin steward in friendliness. The cruise for us was a nice relaxing way to visit country’s,the trips of ship where on the whole well organised .

Outstanding! by HSHThorne

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Arcadia

I’ve sailed on Arcadia a few times and she is my favourite now that Oriana has left the fleet. She provides a comfortable sailing with luxurious surroundings. The ship is clean and well thought out. The food is excellent in all restaurants as always and the staff are always on hand to help. Excellent cruise!

P & O Cruises Does It Again! by Dazza77

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Arcadia / Destination: Europe

Our fourth cruise with P & O Cruises, before we done Norway on Britannia, Mediterranean on Ventura, Baltic on Britannia and already whilst on this last one we have booked to go back to the Mediterranean on Britannia next June, we always have been treated like Royalty and the entertainment is top quality. We have had such wonderful holidays since going on these cruise ships, we only wish we had started sooner. Thank you P & O Cruises and all your crews and entertainment teams, well done.

Great 19 night cruise to Venice on a lovely ship - shame about many of the passengers.... by alexpayler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Arcadia

A lovely 19 night cruise on a great ship - only let down by the some of most the critical, self absorbed, angry and hostile passengers I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Ready to complain before they even embarked, they proceeded to moan to anyone and everyone ruining gatherings and meal times. No understanding that things don’t always go to plan on a ship, wrapping themselves up in conspiracy theories against the ship and it’s captain creating a dark cloud over the entire ship. Incredibly trying and exhausting for the entire crew. However, them aside, we had a great time (!) and the entire crew were superb. We also met some lovely people and made some real friends. Arcadia is a beautiful ship - she just needs a bit of a fresh lick of paint on her hull and exterior superstructure and some TLC to her balconies and she’ll be sparkling again! Can’t wait to back on her again at new year and then full world in 2021!

Sailed on Arcadia for a 3 night cruise.Really liked Arcadia as a ship, lovely staff and great food. Had an outside obstructed cabin which again was absolutely fine for us. Not sure if the mini cruises are for us but that’s just a personal thing.

I sailed on Arcadia 19th... by deborah1963

Sail date: /
Ship: Arcadia

I sailed on Arcadia 19th May to Guernsey, Spain & France. My 1st time on this ship. I personally prefer the adult only ships but having said that, sailing on the Britannia in September for 1st time, so it will be interesting to say the least. I have been on Oceana, Oriana and Arcadia P&O ships and up to now the Arcadia is my favourite. I have no complaints. Food was good, staff were very helpful and majority very friendly, everyone has their off days! If I was being picky then my only gripe was several of the ladies toilets were out of order, as were some lifts but apart from that, I found this a lovely ship. The Headliners entertainment in the theatre was superb, probably the best team I've encountered on P&O yet. Another thing was going through the Bay of Biscay was the smoothest crossing ever, couldn't feel a thing and I always have to wear my sea bands but not on this occasion . Going back on the Arcadia in December and can't wait.

On the plus side, the... by alicepalace

Sail date: /
Ship: Arcadia

On the plus side, the food was amazing and the communal facilities including the gym, pools and cinema were excellent. The communal areas had clearly benefitted from a recent refurbishment. However, the plumbing was not good as toilets frequently got blocked. Repairs also took a long time to arrange, as we had to wait two days for a functional shower. The cabin and bathroom were in a poor state, with taped and cracked lights, a stained and cracked shower bottom and damaged mirrors. They should have refreshed all of this long ago. However, the bed was very comfortable, inside cabin space was adequate and the air con worked well. I thought the activities on the ship were really good too, and included lots of health and fitness such as meditation and pilates, and several daily quizzes. The library was well stocked with books, games and puzzles. It was very much aimed at the 'typical Brits abroad market/kiss me quick hat brigade, but that may have been the particular route we chose.

My least favourite ship now.... by frogemax

Sail date: /
Ship: Arcadia

My least favourite ship now. The cabin was dark, dank and needed a coat of paint and a new bathroom. Tfa walks had dirty Mark's all over them where old pictures used to be and the bathroom cabinet mirror was rusty beyond belief. The noise and vibration woke us up every morning at 6.45 am and so it was impossible to have a leisurely life in! The worst of all was what is now known as the 'Arcadia Whiff' - the smell of sewers in the public areas, especially in the piano bar became unbearable at times. No improvement since we complained about it 9 months ago when we had the same problems. I will no longer use this ship.

Really peaceful cruise. Arcadia just the right size for the Fjords. Felt that the ports were a little dull, with the exclusion of Bergen, so should have booked an excursion at each. by Nemo49

Calm and relaxing. Arcadia is a fine ship with the usual high level of service.
