Review summary

This is my fourth cruise post Covid (NCL, MSC and RCL) and things are not back to what they used to be or maybe it's the way it's going to be. The extra charges for everything is just too much.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Just ok. Buffet tended to be the same things over and over

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Indoor pool area extremely crowded due to weather on days 1 and 7. Kids did the rock wall once and bumper cars a few times. Could use more for kids to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were excellent

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Not like the old days of cruising. Saw the room steward once a day for a brief minute. Passed ship personnel constantly that did not speak to us. Officers always acknowledged us.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was clean and well maintained. Certain areas were very crowded at all times. Newer ships are designed to not feel as crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Initially had a inside but upgraded to Oceanview. Good size, comfortable.

Ship tip

If you are sailing out of a northeast port in the winter, be prepared for all 4500+ people to be inside.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Wanted a day on the ship. Other family members went out.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Loved it but all the additional charges to go to certain areas is crazy!

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Have been here 4-5 times. Extremely crowded. 5 ships in port at the same time. Locals trying to sell you things was the worse I have ever seen.

Thanks for the review. We are going on this ship in June for our Norway cruise. I certainly hope it is a good experience although with the scenery, I don’t think much is going to put a damper on it. I have noticed it varies greatly, depending on the cruise line, of how often you actually see your cabin steward. I know that most lines only clean cabins now once a day however, when we were on Princess, we saw our steward constantly, he was amazing. Virgin was really good about this as well.
