Was a great ship and staff. Decision to cancel one of 2 ports to visit was a huge disappointment. Weather played a major part in our feelings about this cruise. Royal Caribbean has lowered their standards and made cutbacks due to inflation I suppose. Wasn’t the cruise experience I am used to. Not sure if I will cruise again, definitely never in Oct/Nov.
Embarkation

Boarding times were not checked so passengers crowded and backed up the process because they were not supposed to be there for a few more hours. The scanning machines backed up so we stood for several minutes waiting for it to catch it. Issues happen but the fact the boarding times were not adhered to was so extremely frustrating. Everyone was told to sit in the waiting area after going through scan and row by row was then allowed on ship. We had early boarding but ended up sitting toward the back so we boarded an hour and a half after we were supposed to.

Food and Dining

Loved the dining room food and service. Windjammer was same and catered to the 600 children on board this particular cruise. Passengers on prior cruise said the options were better than this cruise because less children were on prior cruise.
Onboard Activities

They had amazing activities for anyone looking to climb wall, play sports and keep active. If you were not interested in this then the cruise was fair to boring. Weather was a huge factor because we had only 1 day of sunshine so everyone crowded into the closed pool area as well as adult solarium.
Entertainment

Loved the opening and closing night performances. It was Halloween so those who enjoyed dressing up and celebrating had a tremendous time with a parade and party. The show We Will Rock You had amazing talent. Spectra was one of the weirdest shows I have seen. Wasn’t my genre. Others seemed to really enjoy it.

Every worker went over and beyond to make everyone happy. They had to deal with disgruntled passengers because our only 2 excursions were canceled and replaced with a poor substitute due to wind and weather. I give huge applauds to their dedication and professionalism.

The room was a nice room. Larger than I thought and in a good place on ship. Only disappointment was the life boat was right below us so our sightline was a little less than I am used to on a balcony.
Ship tip
The Solarium is not a pool. Rather 3 areas with only 2 ft of water to simply sit in. There was a closed pool area open for everyone before the solarium area. Don’t wait in long lines at Windjammer. There is a buffet at Solarium and a couple other areas as well.
We had our Port Canaveral port cancelled before we cruised so that left only Coco Cay. It was too windy to go there so the ship chose to stop in Freeport Bahamas. It was very windy and very boring. Coco Cay had a buffet included but Freeport was goi g to cost money to get to beach and eat the buffet. Weather and wind caused us to remain on the ship as well as half of the other cruisers. Just wish another place to visit would have been possible. Unfortunately this cruise was called the cruise of cancellations. We had first time cruisers with us and they said they will never cruise again. Too many days at sea and not enough entertainment to keep everyone busy. I honestly believe had the weather been warm and sunny, not cold and rainy our experience would have been much better. Great ship for families with children.
