Review summary

At this point, first cruise and last cruise. Nothing was above expectations. Weather was awful which ruined most of the cruise. Spent 6 days on a ship and was too cold for the pool or the indoor one was too crowded. Passengers could care less about other people, breaking all the rules and forgot what a trash barrel looks like.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Cancelled on us because of weather. They said it was too windy. Went to Freeport, Bahamas instead which was below average. Plus wanted to charge us for everything when Coco Cay would have been included.

You had issues boarding because we had just arrived from Europe on a 15 night transatlantic crossing, we just didn't do a little small cruise. We also did 6 sea days in a row crossing the Atlantic. And I had a wonderful time doing it. I love the Anthem. Been on it 4 times now.

I've sailed from Bayonne several times and I can tell you the cruisers there are a bit different than the type of cruisers you'll find in Florida. Also cruising from NJ in October is a crap shoot when it comes to weather. That's part of cruising. I agree with the other comment, try a different cruise line or different port.

You were on vacation. Can’t control the weather, it happens. Of course it is disappointing but I always think I need to make the most of it.

Ya. Sadly better decisions would have produced a better experience….but I get it….there’s a lot to consider and figure out for your first cruise. Thankfully we had a great travel agent to guide us, and we did a ton of research first.

Unfortunately cruising out of Nj you get mostly NY/NJ people who tend to be a bit tougher than other crowds. And it’s gonna be cold in October till you get to Florida. Not the best choice overall. But new cruiser so I get it. Sorry it was a bad one

Sorry you had such a bad experience. Don't give up from one bad experience. Try one of the smaller ships and use a different cruise line. Normally even a bad day at sea beats a good day at work.
