Review summary

First time cruise on Royal Caribbean - probably will be our last. Excursions are generally overpriced for the value. Windjammer food quality and selection - very poor. We felt that we were nickeled and dimed at every turn. There are much better options out there for the money,

Windjammer food selection was disappointing. Breakfast - eggs were cold, toast was pre-toasted and cold, English muffins were pre-cut and dry. Many of the much selections were cold - hamburgers were cold and buns were pre-cut and dry. Had a Bavarian bratwurst at the Dog House - bun was hard as a rock. No ice tea available on the ship. Ate at three specialty restaurants. Jamies Italian was very good, Chops was OK - steak was not very warm and somewhat tough. Wonderland was interesting except for the ambient noise coming from the Promenade for the first half hour - we couldn't hear our waiter which diminished the experience. Food in the main restaurants was good - service was excellent! Didn't like the limited food selections/menu options.

Excellent service from our main dining waiters! Our room steward was attentive and helpful.

Ship Quality

Ship is showing signs of age. Paint peeling in places. Carpet in areas is frayed. Vinyl seating in ICON Restaurant is cracked. Our bed was very worn and uncomfortable. After contacting guest services, housekeeping put a mattress topper on the bed. Bed was still very uncomfortable - mattresses need replacing.
