Review summary

I enjoyed my cruise and was happy to book another at the NextCruise desk to experience a larger ship. The availability of complimentary food options all day around the ship made the trip for me. You can skip the buffet to avoid the crowds. Minimize bringing valuables and too much stuff. After disembarkation and arriving home, we discovered we were missing a bag of lanyards and computer charger and cables. Once off the ship, Royal Caribbean customer agents are focused on their new guests and will not be much help.

Cape Liberty Cruise Port workers are super efficient and organized with managing the flow of people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I didn't find the food in the buffet, Jamie's Italian and Chops Grille to be particularly flavorful. There were not a lot of options in the buffet in comparison to my experiences with NCL. It was pleasant eating in the Main Dining Room, food was better than the specialty restaurants. The standout was Sorrento's pizza which is free all day from 11:30am and Cafe Promenade. The pizza was surprisingly pretty good. Having a variety of places to grab complimentary food around the ship is worth the trip alone.

Onboard Activities

Bumper cars were fun!

Entertainment

I found it difficult following the storyline of The Gift stage production, but the vocals were outstanding! Joff Eaton, the cruise director, was awesome!! The Love & Marriage and Name That Tune shows are must sees.

Ship Quality

Some of the seats in the Main Dining Room were stained and need to be replaced.

Cabin / Stateroom

The decor of the cabin was the best I've had to date, however the bathroom is extremely tiny. They offer complimentary shampoo/shower gel that had no fragrance.

Ship tip

Make sure to allow enough time to pack on disembarkation day and check the cabin thoroughly before leaving for home. I lost a bag of lanyards and charging cables and a brand new power adapter and had no way of contacting the ship or my cabin steward to check if they were left behind.

My husband and I did an excursion to the Florida Mall which was inexpensive and allowed us time to walk around, shop and dine at our leisure.

Nassau, Bahamas

This was our 2nd trip to the Bahamas and we took the opportunity to visit Atlantis and then later dine at Sharkeez Bar and Grill, a restaurant close to the port. Take a taxi-van at the port entrance for inexpensive transportation back/from Atlantis ($5 per person/one way). The food at Sharkeez was delicious! Highly recommend!
