Review summary

Overall this was an amazing trip. Rough seas out of Jersey combined with cold weather on the sea days out limited our activity at the start but every day after was incredible. Ports were all great and the ship had plenty to do. Highly recommend Anthem and the 11 night Southern!

Embarkation

Parking and bag drop were simple. Line was out the door and being January in the northeast it was chilly… line went fairly quick and we were on the ship in under an hour.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

MDR and windjammer were average… nothing amazing but good and did the trick. Plenty of options for all meals. This was also the last sailing before the menu changes in the MDR.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Plenty of things for people of all ages…indoor skydiving, North Star, flowrider, bumper cars, rock wall and plenty of other things to keep everyone entertained.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Did not watch any shows, but did partake in silent disco…lol

Ship tip

A nice quiet bar is in 270 if you want to avoid big crowds. The staff at that bar were awesome!

6 ships in port so was very busy. Planned on snorkeling at Mullet bay beach but waves were abnormally large and made it a beach day. Crowded but fun.

Had a day pass to Marriott. Very nice property with beautiful beach on the Atlantic side, nice pool with swim up bar, restaurant and plenty of seating. Perfect way to end our port stops.

Castries, St. Lucia

Highlight of our cruise. Did a speedboat tour with Spencer Ambrose tours to Sugar Beach… amazing beach, amazing snorkeling. Great tour with drinks and lunch provided!

St. John's, Antigua

Had a rental car booked through budget… no one showed up. Grabbed a cab after waiting an hour and went to Long bay beach. Very relaxing and snorkeling was decent.

Disembarkation

Self assist and off the ship very quickly.
