Review summary

My husband had a brain bleed in 2019 so this was our first try at a vacation. I was a bit nervous about leaving home but the trip was perfect for us. We spent a lot of time in our room and on our balcony, feeling no need to do everything. Seeing the rocket launch from our balcony from Cape Canaveral was so exciting! Aside from the excursion issues, we would definitely cruise again.

We booked an excursion recommended by BJs that was to include seeing the island and Atlantis. We felt, at 77 years of age and having medical issues, this would be an easy trip, as it stated. The walk from the ship to the meeting place of the excursion was much too long for us- I even took a video from our balcony of the distance. There were no trams to get us to the meeting place so we couldn’t make it. I notified the excursion people as soon as we got home- we had insurance for the excursion. I haven’t heard from them to acknowledge my report. Does my insurance cover this? I very disappointed at their service. Please advise

If the excursions was booked through BJ's travel division then that's whom you'll have to deal with. If it was booked through Royal's online planner for excursions then thr issue would of been resolved while still on board through the excursions desk clerks.

I would give Royal a buzz. It's very unlikely an employee is on this site and would be able to answer your excursion question.

Regrettably, if the ship pulls into port and you don’t meet the excursion people in time, it is very unlikely that you will get a refund for that excursion.
