Review summary

After being on Allure and Oasis, Anthem is just as beautiful but a different ship altogether. She is beautiful with her own features. NorthStar was definitely an experience. IFly was fun for my kids. SeaPlex is an interesting way to try to squeeze more activities for the kids without a lot of space to do it, but a 5-day cruise is too short to get all the activities in. I'll choose a longer cruise next time if we do this ship again, although I think I am becoming particular to Oasis.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent everywhere on the ship. Drinks were made perfectly

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Activities were plentiful with a good variety for kids.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Gift was confusing for my kids but We Will Rock You was Outstanding.

Two70

5 out of 5

Two70 is a great place to relax. Comfortable seating, quiet corners, a great view off the back of the ship when the curtains are open. Cool fireworks show late night in the room on the curtains. I didn't spend much time but what time I was in there was very comfortable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Solomon, best room steward And this Boston family loved having dinner with Bernie and Gilbert in Silk,(one of the main diningrooms!!! Their service was outstanding for the 2 days that we had them.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship and everyone was so busy making sure every passenger was happy and had everything they needed. I was a little disappointed there wasn't a Central Park onboard. I think I'm an Oasis snob.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin 8180 Perfect for the 4 of us as we didn't spend much time in the room. Solomon did a great job keeping us clean and refreshed with towels.

Ship tip

Enjoy the ambiance of all the quiet places like Two70 and the Solarium. I'm so glad we found all those quiet locations to enjoy the comfortable places.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

5 out of 5
Busy port but they were well organized at getting people in and out.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
We did a sampler tour of Bermuda that was just perfect for showing us the island and still have time to do everything else like beaches and shopping.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Glad to have late disembarkation as we were able to enjoy breakfast on our last day.

Tomika75 I guess once you cruise the biggest it's hard not to compare. But you are correct, Royal Caribbean is a good time regardless of class.

Great review and I am similar to you but switched around. I love the size/amenities of Anthem, but we are sailing on Symphony this fall. I am sure that I will compare the Oasis to the Quantum class, too once onboard. I'm sure that we can agree that any Royal Caribbean cruise is good time regardless of the class.
