Review summary

We had a great week with a great staff and cabin! Traveling with a group of about 50-75 people, everyone who had not cruised before enjoyed it as much as the seasoned cruisers did!

Embarkation

The team at Cape Liberty worked fast and efficient. From stepping into the terminal and onto the ship, it might’ve taken 15 minutes to go through security and be checked in.

Chic

To Nengah, Manisha, and Marvin (our restaurant staff at table 109), thank you for the amazing service. Our week in the main dining room was beyond amazing and our wait staff made the week so memorable for us. Nengah made sure that everyone was fed to their needs and wants. Even on a night with 5:30 dining and a show at 6:30, Nengah made sure that our dining room experience would not be skipped that night. Having told him the night before, he and his team were prepped for our table and had us out of the dining room in 45 minutes in order to make our show. This team was truly the definition of a Royal Caribbean dining room experience.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The North Star broke down before our reservation and they never called us to rebook, which is what they said they would do when we arrived that day. Also, there weren’t too many late night activities other than music which was a bummer. However, we made the best of what we had and had a fantastic time!

Prince & Greene

Constanza worked so hard to find the wallet I loved and wanted to buy! She was truly an amazing help and made sure I was able to purchase what I wanted.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment onboard was great! We Will Rock You and Spectra’s Cabaret were beyond expectations! The Quest with the activities manager was fantastic as well! I did, however, feel that the cruise director (Dan, I believe) was not present as much as he should’ve been. Having been on 3 other Royal cruises in the past 3 years, all of my other cruise directors were much more personable than he.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service on Royal Caribbean cannot be beat. Nengah, Manisha, and Marvin made our dining room experience fantastic for the 5 nights. Ravi kept our room spotless and always greeted us with a smile, no far how deep into his work he was. Amit in the Royal Shops helped me with a watch purchase and was extremely helpful and courteous. Overall, the staff on the Anthem of the Seas went above and beyond for us and everyone onboard.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Compared to other Royal Caribbean balconies, I felt that this was the most spacious and had the greatest amount of storage. With the additional storage, we were able to keep our cabin neater than usual.

Ship tip

If you can’t book activities online before your cruise, make sure to book them in the Music Hall on embarkation day right when you get on ship or on the Royal IQ app once you get on. Activities sell out fast! The escape room was completely booked by 11:30am on embarkation day for the entire week!

Ports of call

Only embarked and disembarked here, but was able to do it quickly

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Gorgeous island with very friendly locals. Also, no one hassles you to purchase from them as they often do in the Caribbean. As much as I like bartering in the stores in the Caribbean, this was a great port to relax and enjoy the scenery in!

Disembarkation

We moved through bag claim and customs very quickly
