Review summary
I booked this as a family cruise during the Thanksgiving Day week. Overall we enjoyed it but it was marred by several events. I had pre-arranged and received confirmation that we would all dine at the same table. When we arrived for our first dinner only 3 of us were at the same table. I was told that this would be corrected the following evening. However, on the following day I received a notice that my request could not be honored. It was only after persistence on my part that we were seated together. However, this was at an "Any Time Dining" area where the table could be given away if we were more than 15 minutes late. It appeared that no one was really concerned with seating us during the conventional dining time we had selected. In addition, several of the excursions were disappointing. The Atlantis Adventure was crowded and it was difficult to find 2 empty chairs, much less five. We were herded on several buses to Atlantis and were provided no instruction regarding our return to the ship. The Evening of Rum and Reggae requested that we meet at Station 1 on the pier. However, ship's personnel were unaware of that location. Consequently the event, which was to begin at 7 PM, began at 7:30 PM. Nevertheless, it concluded at 9 PM as scheduled. It occurred in the basement of a local bar and participants were provided a number of "shots" of various flavored rum as well as 2 additional drinks. Entertainment was provided by two talented young ladies who sang ? reggae tunes. I would not recommend this excursion. The staff was cordial and accommodating for the most part, but not as personal as I had experienced on other cruise lines. Perhaps the vastness of the ship contributed to this.Embarkation
