Review summary

This was our first cruise and it will not be our last. We met many people who cruised different ships and the Royal Carribean ones seem to be their favorite based on the food, amenities and staff. I don’t see us cruising on any other line. Royal Carribean from here on. We may try the Symphony next but we will definitely go on the Anthem again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent. The variety of food and service were exceptional. Felt like we were being pampered.

American Icon Grill

5 out of 5

Excellent wait staff and variety of food. You can order multiple entrees if you’re not sure what you’ll love like.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Bumper cars, roller skating, dodge ball, fitness center. All truly fun. So much to do, we didn’t have time to do it all.

Outdoor Pool

5 out of 5

Nice layout and usually could find a seat.

Entertainment

The gift was not a great show. Hard to follow. Spectra’s Cabaret and We Will Rock You were excellent. I would see both of them again

North Star

Such a cool experience. Great view of the entire ship and the ocean around you.

Children's Programs

Plenty to do for the kids in th Sea Plex. Staff was super nice.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent. The waiters (Danilo and Jackson)were friendly, personable and remembered our specific needs each night. Room steward (Rinaldo) always had everything ready for us and did it based on our schedule. It was like havingexcelkwbh a magic genie.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was awesome. Made me feel like I was not on a ship at all at times. Because of the many different areas it was never that crowded in one area and you could always find a place to relax.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean. Every day smelled fresh. The room steward cleaned our room every morning and had everything ready for us at night before dinner and did it around our schedule.

Ship tip

Try and do everything for free that you can. There is a lot and it’s best to watch the TV channel in your room that explains what’s happening that day.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

5 out of 5
Not fancy but easy to park and boats the plane.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Best place to just relax and enjoy the Carribean. Did the Jayson excursion and water park which was fun. Still had time to dance with dj and lay on the beach.

Nassau, Bahamas

Great port and a ton to do. Really need two days at this pet netween the shopping sight seeing and beaches.

Disembarkation

We left our room, left the ship, got our bags, made it through customs and made it to our car within 30 minutes. The easiest and most efficient experience I could have imagined.
