Review summary

This is a great cruise and I recommend it. The food was not as amazing as my first cruise on Liberty, but I still liked it. The ship is beautiful. I don't like how they always seem to try and nickle and dime you, but they are not too pushy. This is a great first time cruise with only 5 days.

Embarkation went smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I prefer having one main dinning room than the way it is divided into 4 on this ship. We used My Time and it seemed a little chaotic. Wish we had the same servers every night, but it was OK. Windjammer was chaotic, it was difficult finding a place and lines were very long; however; the food was good. We did not try any of the specialty venues.

Onboard Activities

The solarium was beautiful, the Two 70 was a wonderful place to have breakfast and lunch. North star was short , but the view in Bermuda was excellent.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to see all three shows: The first night we went to see the gift and was not able to stay for the entire show, we were too tired. Spectra was good and We will Rock You was excellent. We really enjoyed the performer in Pub.

Children's Programs

no children in our group

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
There were a few that did not seem happy with their jobs, but they were rare, most of the staff and crew members were wonderful. They worked hard and gave an excellent service. There is an improvement needed at guest services, though the staff was excellent, they were obviously to few. It took two visits to settle an overcharge and I am not sure it was actually taken off. Almost everyone in my group received some surcharge that needed to be fixed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I felt crowed at times, but overall it was fine. Very clean and well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an interior room with virtual balcony and we loved it. The storage is great. We loved the beds and bedding.

Ship tip

Do not go to the Windjammer on the first day and during peak hours if you do not like crowds. If you hate crowed elevators get a stateroom in the middle and use the stairs. Keep an eye on your account throughout the cruise. In our group of 8 we had a few charges that needed to be removed. They say Royal IQ is free, but if you want to use the chat function you need to pay 7.95 for the trip, wish they would mention it before.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey Did not visit port

Too busy getting on the boat

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The Island of Bermuda is amazing. I loved everything about it. St-George is worth the trip. I was surprised that Hamilton was so modern and big, I was expecting a small town. The Island is clean and the views are spectacular. The Beaches are absolutely beautiful. Loved that we were able to stay so long and had time to explore all we wanted.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A little long, but we were lucky to get a porter and skip the long lines.
