Review summary

SPA: very disappointed in the spa facilities. We have previously signed up for the week long access on other ships (Norwegian) and loved it; private pools, ocean views, etc. Your spa was a big closet/waiting room - No views, limited facilities. Did not even sign up.

OUTDOOR Areas: found people putting books, towels down to reserve areas and leaving.  There should be attendants letting people know they cant do this and removing items once lounge chairs empty for 15 minutes. We saw one guy reserve 8 lounge chairs. His party had reserve the other side of the ship so he went with them (LOL). We often could not find anything in the front solarium.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
1.Sit down breakfast was disappointing. Omelets were premade, dried out. 2. Lunch times for sitdown were too limited. 12-1.30 for lunch should be opened up to 2pm. Also changing the time from day to day didn't help. 3. Sit down dinner was the best meal of the day. 4. Went to CHOPS and was unimpressed with the food quality and choice, would not go again. 5. The buffet area was often crowded. Needs work to make this run smoother. The back area should have a fuller buffet so one doesn't have to walk from the middle to the back and ones food is cold by then. 6. Room service was very good!!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
1. There needs to be more morning and afternoon shows. 2. I also found that the afternoon & evening programs I wanted to do overlapped each other so couldn't do both. Newlywed game, etc are tired. Ask different questions, do something different. 3. Shopping: the 2 for $20 t-shirts being opened only on next to last day is silly. There was a line of 50 people. NO WAY I was standing in that line on vacation. Also, people want to know they can get something to bring back for people before the next to last day. It was poorly advertise and we kept checking every day to see if it was open. SILLY, you probably lost more sales then you made.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
1. Disappointed that many showtimes overlapped with other shows or outside movies. 2. An outside movie screen doesn't work with winter trips from NY/NJ. Most times, it was too cold to stay and watch movie. The screen should be moved to a covered area or to 2/270. I was impressed that you had some 1st run movies--but couldn't see them 2* weather.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
1. Very nice size of cabin and balcony. Loved the chairs on balcony and that both chairs were the same. 2. The bathroom is too small (would make a difference on me choosing this boat again). 3. TV size was impressive!!1 BUT so very little to choose from on TV. Same episodes of Person of interest and Broke girls was on EVERY DAY. 4. The Movies shown on outdoor movie screen should also be shown in the cabin. ( MOST DAYS on our cruise, the weather was too cold to watch the outdoor movies). 5. Our cabin steward was great!!

Ship tip

1. Sail from Bayonne - it was a very good experience. 2. Don't buy the drink package, not a good deal. (we didn't buy it because it was too expensive but then we spoke to someone who could not get a glass of champagne at dinner because it was $15 and excluded ( no champagne under $15).

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

There needs to be more options for the beach areas.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island) Did not visit port

Did not stop because of the weather/ roughness of seas. BUT I LOVE stopping at private islands. Would love to see a cruise stay there for 2 days!!!

Don't need attendants. I just remove their towel and use the chair. I tell them there weren't any towels on the chairs when I sat down. They know what they are doing is wrong anyways.
