Review summary

The embarkation process was awesome! Bayonne is SO easy! Roads to the terminal were under construction, no big deal. Forgot my luggage tags and half of my SetSail passes at home, but we were on the ship within 15 minutes of parking in the garage! Ship was AMAZING! So big, bright, clean! Not a spec of rust anywhere! Food in the Windjammer was good, plenty of variety, tons of fresh fruit, bread, cookies, anything and everything. We ate there every meal except for a well spent meal at Jamie's Italian! Asian guests were pushy and disrespectful to others including staff. Plenty of staff members to handle all passengers! All were so friendly and took time to acknowledge us! Our balcony stateroom was a perfect size! Our virtual balcony interior stateroom was stuffy, but kept fan running all the time. Lighting in staterooms was SO bright, luckily there were many lamps and wall scones to go around to make it dim and cozy at the touch of the switch. We also stuck a random store card in the light switch slot to work the lights, that way we never left the room without our room key. Bed pillows smelled like dirty sweaty old man because RC doesn't seem to use pillow protectors, I spayed them with perfume to help mask smell. Maybe I'll bring my own pillow protectors and febreeze, next time. lol. Bathroom was right size, shower was nice, plenty big. Sometimes sewer gas smell came in bathroom when winds were 50kts lol. Never used the dining rooms, but they were jamming every time we walked by. Never knew security guards existed until we just happened to run into one in the atrium. She was so nice. Elevators were busy, but we always walked to ones that were not busy or did stairs. The shopping areas were always over crowded and jamming with people. We hardly visited. Not too many kids at this time of year, which was nice. And we even brought 2 of our own! But we hardly ever saw them by keeping themselves busy! Just made sure they joined us for supper every night. lol. It was easy to keep track of our expenses, right on the the TV. All staff spoke english, some were difficult to understand, we just smiled and nodded. Disembarkation was the BEST ever. We always do self debarkation. We were eating breakfast at 6:20, off the ship at 6:45, 6:50 in the parking garage and on I95 back home at 7am. All in all Anthem of the Seas was a great ship! It's our 3rd cruise. RC by far was the best. Celebrity is a close second.
