Review summary

The ports that this ship goes to are great. Lots of outdoor activities to take part in (hiking, walking, kayaking, etc.) as well as area tours.

This is not your typical cruise with a set dinner time and set show times. Each night is different and based on when you book them. You are required to register for all the "bigger shows" as well as all dinner reservations, otherwise you wait standby. For those who like having the same waitstaff throughout their cruise, you will not get this with this cruise. Each night you will have different waitstaff.

There are a good number of on board activities to do - iFly, rock climbing wall, bumper cars, etc. We felt there wasn't a lot of planned activities outside of these during the day (with the exception of a lot of trivia).

Overall it was a very nice cruise, nice staff, great ports, but different from your typical cruise experience.

Thanks for sharing your comments. One of the more positive I have read recently. Will be boarding the Anthem OTS in 60 days. Been counting down for almost a year; can't believe it is finally just 60 days away. FOR debigul, Believe that "open seating" indicates that Dining Captain will seat you as space is available each evening. Call Reservation Info and try to get on the wait list for early or late Classic Dining. Early seating usually fills early on but a few spaces may open so try waitlisting. Or you may be able to reserve Dynamic Dining. If all else fails, go to the Dining Captain as soon as you can after you board ship, usually that afternoon before dinner and request an assigned dinner seating.

I love this ship. When you booked, if they had explained the dining, I think you may have been more satisfied. The Dynamic Classic option has you set at the same time each night with the same waitstaff and the same group at your table. Each night, you move to a different restaurant with the staff and the people with sit with. You even have the same table number. The downside is that RC chooses your rotation thru the 4 complimentary restuarants.
