Review summary

We love cruises and the Anthem of the Seas is a terrific ship. This was our 4th cruise with Royal and 7th overall. The iFly, Northstar and bumper cars are a must on the ship! Compared to the Allure and the Oasis, this was not quite up to that standard but is certainly a fun ship! Food, service, activities and shows were fabulous!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

ThE dynamic classic dining was MUCH improved from when we were on Quantum and provided a different experience

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Excellent location right next to the elevators and toward midship/aft so we were right below the Windjammer and the pool decks. Room was spacious and so was the balcony for a cruise ship

Ship tip

If you plan to do iFly, be sure to do it in advance;if not you will have to wait in the standby line.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Port Canaveral, Florida

Need more things to go to nearby;anything good is a taxi ride away

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Private island and neat to walk around, lay on the beach, and go into the water

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Everything basically is over at the Atlantis and getting off the ship you get bombarded by the locals to buy things
