Review summary

Anthem of the Seas is a beautiful ship with lots to do. Unfortunately we hit a very bad storm that caused our cruise to end early without ever getting to a warm port. That being said, the captain and crew were phenomenal! I cannot say enough about their calm demeanor during the storm. They helped ever passenger who needed assistance. So, for anyone with a of cruising, the crew is trained to handle emergencies and they do so quickly and calmly. Cruise was a bust but I have a memory of a lifetime. Definitely cruising Royal Caribbean again!!!

Nice comment judieisl. My wife and I were on the Anthem for a 14 day Mediterranean cruise in September. We loved it so much we went back to Southhampton and did the crossing. We had 3 days out of 8 that they wouldn't let us out on deck. The one day was 90 mph winds and 28 foot seas. The ship handled that with no problems. Captain Klaus is a very experienced captain and would never do anything to jeopardize lives. We had breakage of bottles in bars but not much else. I think we listed maybe 6 degrees. Had water covering windows in restaurants. That was cool and the ship is designed for that. People said it listed 45 degrees in the hurricane. Nonsense. The ship can list to 47 degrees and come back up but if it listed 45 degrees there would have been many more injuries then the 4 that were reported. People don't understand ballast or angles. Will go on the Quantum class ships anytime. Love them.

i don't think it hit another storm. I think the person is talking about THE storm that happened on their Feb 6th cruise. we will on the anthem in 5 months and can't wait.

No its a second storm they just posted this....the hurricane it sailed through was more then a week ago the didn't not turn around if you seen the news .
