Review summary

Ran into a storm, damaged ship, turned around and came back. There goes my vacation for this year. This was my first and last cruise. Actually, this was my first vacation in years. Should have just flown to the island.

Sailed on Anthem 2 weeks earlier. A beautiful ship. My philosophy is live your life anything can happen at any moment. Enjoy it and thank the lord for every minute.

haha yeah except if they'd canceled and it wasn't too bad they'd be slammed for that too. That's life though. it sucks and is disappointing that's why youet travel insurance. Also look at what time of year you book.

And when flights are at risk in bad weather they do the responsible thing and cancel or delay them....they don't just take off anyways!

I can't believe the complete disregard and disrespect from everyone to these passengers that were on this cruise sailing! Wow!! I get it you are all cruisers but just as much as these people have to understand that shit happens RCCL also needs to understand that this was for some people a long awaited trip....yes they refunded their money and 50% off the next cruise and no you can't control weather but it is somewhat predictable! I would have rather them cancel the sailing rather than put thousands of peoples lives at risk! Those families could have at least spent their well deserved vacations somewhere else rather than tossing back and fourth in the middle of a storm! I don't want to hear that it wasn't suppose to be as bad as it was either because if these poor people should have to know that weather is " unpredictable " well RC should also know that and not assume it wasn't going to be that bad! They have state of the art equipment not just an app on a phone! This cruise line stole peoples time and that can't be replaced! Greedy!

Acting like it's the ships fault for the bad weather? How sad. Go travel on a plane that can also be affected just as badly in storms!

Weather can't be controlled not rc fault there ships are amazing I had a fire once on adventure and was stuck at sea due to tropical storm on allure they were great I love they islands so have fun anything you decide

They refunded the cost of the cruise back to cruiser due to weather & ship damage. Its not a total lost, you will get your money back, then you can spend it at an island resort.

Weather cannot be controlled! It's a shame that it happened to you, but don't blame the weather for your bad experience, and certainly not cruising! A cruise is a fantastic holiday experience. I'm a flight attendant, you don't want to know what can happen of flights when u least expect it....
