Allure of the Seas Cruise by jakeonnen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas

Overall a good experience, but will probably not take another cruise. The service staff are amazing but are treated so unfairly.

First cruise on Royal Caribbean by rj3409

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas

We have decided the smaller ships are better for us. Would definitely recommend the Allure of the Seas to anyone that has the energy to do lots of activities and go on excursions. That time has passed for us, but we still enjoy cruising.

Wonderful cruise - beware the timing of spring break by BigStud69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas

The cruise overall was excellent - had we been aware that this would have been Spring Break “heavy” we would have opted for another date.

Very Nice Cruise by AndreaTX

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Allure of the Seas

All in all, a great cruise. Good food, great dining staff. Huge ship, lots of people, lots to do. Downside of Royal Caribbean is so much upselling - even sodas cost extra. Too many specialty restaurants. Kids club costs extra after 10pm. Great entertainment, lots of food, clean ship, great housekeeping staff. The new port staff have lots of room for improvement.

Eautiful Caribbean cruise by knomad73

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas

We only did one excursion, the submarine view of the coral reefs on Roatan. DON'T DO THIS ONE. They took us to the other side of the island, we had a shortened time on the boat. The restroom facilities were dirty, dingy and not secure, and there was only one roll of toilet paper between the two rooms.

Good Trip by wongsatx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Allure of the Seas

Things are definitely different post-pandemic. Seems more crowded, but only because the # staff might be less. Seems very rushed in main dining room and quality of relationships with your assigned waitstaff suffered. Wait staff even at Chops seemed distant, even unhappy. Entertainment was GREAT but we noticed that they don't do aerialist/cirque shows anymore (nor that type in Aquatheatre show). Overall we had a good time but a little sad that in general, the overall happy feel of the crew/staff was not there (probably understaffed).

Wonderful Cruise! by CCarrick

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas

Cruise was wonderful as is the new terminal. However, THE COST OF OATKING IS RIDICILOUS - $204 for the week for 6200 passengers us overkill!

Ridden with terrible experiences by zachdaniels877

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Allure of the Seas

As an active member of the United States military, I was hoping to have a relaxing and stress free experience aboard this cruise. My friend and I both contracted COVID-19, had multiple port issues and no help from on board staff. We had gastro intestinal issues we assume from the food, and I never received any sort of military discount. I don't like to complain but I genuinely hated this cruise and I hope Royal Caribbean compensates me.

Great ship, enjoyable cruise. by htownyankeejim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas

Excellent overall, although only 2 stops. Lots of folks saying Royal needs differed itineraries out of Galveston. MDR limited menu, no classics, theme nights a definite negative.

Debra and Marcie from Dream Vacations are the best!! by kz706601

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Allure of the Seas

Beautiful and clean ship. The staff and shows are amazing. There's always so many fun things to do when aboard the Allure of the Seas. Once again, I had a marvelous time on a Royal cruise and would not hesitate to book on the Allure again.

Mix of very good and very bad by Fishcake

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Allure of the Seas

The dining service and crew redeemed the disasterous embarkation. Royal Caribbean really needs to reevaluate their extra cleaning protocol and embarkation process. No one was happy dragging their luggage for 2 hours in the sun waiting in line to get on the ship to embark.

Great Caribbean Cruise by lgbourdon

It was a great cruise. The ship still had newness qualities and the staff and services were outstanding. Would like to visit a few more ports on this 8 day cruise.

Had a great time. The staff was superb. Richard in the main dining was the best. I can’t remember who cleaned our cabin but he was so polite and attentive.

Great food, ship, entertainment by Annada

Ship and staff are awesome. Refund Port fees are not distributed equally and no one can explain why - that was frustrating.

Western Caribbean by boss502hoss

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Need to force parents to watch their kids. Not sure why dogs are allowed. The buffet needs to split to have adults one one side and kids and animals on the other side. I watched a child dump his plate of food in the maple syrup because he shouldn’t have been getting his own food. Where are the dogs supposed to crap? I watched a lady take her dog to the park and put him in the flower garden where he did his duty and she walked away leaving the crap in the dirt. How disappointing. I couldn’t believe what I saw.

Allure amenities too small to support 6,000+ passengers by cbnlynn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Although we enjoyed the "cruise," the negatives cancelled-out the positives. Royal Caribbean has done a horrible disservice to its passengers with its SMALL venue locations. Passengers waiting in line for an hour-and-a-half just to get seating for music or game (trivial, etc.) that only lasted 20 minutes! EVERYTHING WAS MUCH TOO LOUD!!! Disembarkation onboard was an absolute fiasco (no directives; confusing signage; disinterested, ill-informed crew members).
