Review summary

After 25 cruises with Royal, I continue to like the brand, and remain Loyal to Royal. I did miss some of the staff (who were on their well earned vacation). If you see Karen in the Martini Bar, she’s a great conversationalist! Allure is a beautiful ship, and it will be great to see her finally get amped.

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I didn’t dine in the main dinning room this trip, as I wanted to try just eating in the Windjammer. For the most part, I was fine, and as this was my first solo cruise, it did the job. I was in and out quickly. Seating is still a hassle, as the Windjammer gets packed fairly quickly, and usually stays that way during the duration of meal service (except late evening).

150 Central Park

2 out of 5

After numerous voyages with Royal, I wasn’t sure why I hadn’t dined at 150 Central before. Well, I realized on this trip why I hadn’t really considered before. I wasn’t impressed with the food I received, from the starter to the main entree. The dessert was the only thing good that evening. The soup was very bland, the halibut entree was way over cooked, til the point it was a bit tough. There was a discrepancy with my bill… the experience was overall in my opinion of what Royal doesn’t represent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
After sailing with Royal numerous times, I do think Royal would benefit by changing up their onboard activities a bit. Although the cruise line has moved to a family based cruise line over the years, I think they would appeal to some other groups if they offered a variety of different activities, and not the standard they have been utilizing.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Explored the Hideaway on this trip, as I needed to vlog about it. I like the concept however, I don’t think there are enough chairs on the beach, and the crowds at the eateries can be bit tedious. The beach itself isn’t a big swimming area for the crowd the hideaway takes on. Again, I like the concept, something just isn’t working in my opinion. I do like the additional options they offer at the food spots, vs what you get at the snack shacks. I also like the convenience of the tram that takes you to the hideaway.

Nassau, Bahamas

After have been to Nassau 20+ times, I tend to not even get off the ship. I got off to visit a jeweler, and returned to the ship. I’m kind over Nassau at this point.
