Review summary

Cruise was fine. Paying for 2 rooms was a total waste. Won’t be going on a cruise again. Cruise line wouldn’t care less about the problem. Got off the phone with them today. Representative asked me what the problem was after I explained it. If we ever cruise it certainly won’t be with royal Caribbean.

Tiny cabin. Paid for 2 rooms. We got rooms on the 3rd and 9th floor. Kids are 3, 5 and 7. All crammed into one room. Still had to pay for both. A complete waste of money

I assume you would have had to have booked an adult and 1 kid in one cabin and an adult and 2 kids in the other cabin, so why then all cram in one cabin? If it’s because the cabins weren’t together then you’d also have had the chance to pay to choose your own cabin and check the location. I don’t see how this is the cruise line’s fault

Did u not pick your rooms when booking? Went with just a gty room?

Unless you are very savvy about booking, one should always use a cruise travel agent or book directly with the cruise line. Either way there is no charge and you can explain exactly your situation. No cruise line books young children in a cabin without an adult relative.

We are going on the roller in October and I already have my room assignments and even though our kids are adults, we have joining rooms.. I kind of think this was an error on your part not the cruise lines

Don’t you usually get your room assignments prior to going on the cruise? I mean I would’ve noticed how far apart the rooms were and try to rectify the situation before even getting on the ship I think they would’ve been more helpful prior than Waiting till after the cruise and there’s nothing they can do about it at that point

Some cruise lines do not have space for 5 people in one stateroom. No way would any children be allowed to have a room by themselves.

Don't blame Royal. Any cruiseline where you book the cabin guarantee assigns the individual cabins and they won't be together. You should have paid to pick your cabins so they would be together and could have had joining cabins. If you had used a travel agent and told them what you were trying to do doing, they could have helped you getting joined cabins.

Did you use a Travel Agent?

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Sorry it didn’t meet your expectations. I am curious about your cabin issue. Did you book 2 cabins and choose your cabin numbers or did you go the less expensive route and booked the cabin guarantee where Royal Caribbean will assign the cabins? If you went the less expensive route with a guarantee cabins, you can be assigned to cabins anywhere on the ship and not together. If you want cabins next to each other, book specific cabin numbers and adjoining cabins if possible so the cabins are together. Sounds like you didn’t do much research before booking the cruise. I hope your next vacation meets your expectations.
