Review summary

I am now loyal to Royal. I love the Oasis class ship. I don’t think I could go back to Carnival. Going on Voyager of the Seas in February. 👏👏👏

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our check in time was 11. Arrived around 10:45. Was on the boat by 11. So easy. I am a researcher. I think it helps to be informed on processes to eliminate confusion.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We don’t drink so I can’t comment on that but we thought the food everywhere was great. I was a little worried because of comments I have read but we enjoyed the food. From the Pizza, Cafe’s, Wind Jammer, and there wasn’t anything we didn’t like in the MDR. Don’t again in expecting to hate the food!!’

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This was a 7 day cruise. Not one time we’re we bored. Especially love hanging out on the promenade.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Oh my gosh. The entertainment was phenomenal. We saw everything. Did t much care for Blue Planet. The talent was there but the show itself was as confusing and disjointed. Went on a Carnival in January and the entertainment was terrible. This was a pleasant surprise!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
These are the hardest working people. They do everything possible to serve you and keep you happy and to keep you in a clean environment. It’s humbling for me.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No problem with the design. They also had signs in areas that might be confusing. Again doing all they can to help you. Everything was always very clean. Not one public restroom was dirty.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Clean. Big enough. Had a balcony cabin overlooking Central Park which we really enjoyed.

Ship tip

Do a little research before boarding and get acquainted with processes and the ship. I think that helps with expectations and will better your experience.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
This port is probably has more to do. With the tours, swimming pool and shopping but we don’t live Costa Maya. I don’t think they have great beaches.

Galveston, Texas

3 out of 5
This is our home port. Used to love Galveston but I feel it isn’t what it used to be. We just stay the night here.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Cozumel is our favorite.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
We did the Easy Roatan Monkey Sloth and Iguana tour. We loved it! I feel the ports are really all very similar.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did assisted disembarkation. We had high numbers and just waited our turn. We didn’t get in a hurry. I felt it went pretty smooth considering you are unloading 6000 people.
