Review summary

We were suppose to have two $75 credits for our main two rooms. We had put all of our charges on one room during the week. We asked 2x that they apply the second room onto the first and both desk people said they would and it never happened. Got off the ship and saw the final bill and it was never applied. These people will tell you one thing to your face and then it never happens. Never sale with them again.

Embarkation

Getting on the ship was easy. No lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The wait staff the first night were VERY slow. Little better the second night. Our cruise was a surprise for my wife to bring our oldest daughter and trying to get the wait managers to get us to be able to sit together was like pulling teeth. (We couldn't link our reservations before hand as my wife would have found out she was coming, and we ended up with different dinner times). The one manager was actually very mean about it. Also, the only free food on the ship was the buffets, and main meals. Even the hamburger place Johnny Rockets you have to pay extra for.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The flow rider you have to pay extra for. The lines for most activities was very long as the activities were only open a few hours/day. The basketball court wasn't even a full court. They were playing soccer at same time basketball was being played.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The mama mia show was good. The diving show and the ice skating show were ok as well.

Children's Programs

Kids were teens and older

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
The wait manager as stated above was very rude to us. The room steward was very friendly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The bathroom light had a constant flickering when on. The sliding glass doors on the balcony stuck at times. Ship was fairly clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We ended up with 3 conjoining balcony rooms. They had different size couches. The one in the middle was full size and other two were more like loveseats. Couldn't even lay out length wise on them.

Ship tip

Plan on spending extra money for everything.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Typical Cozumel... come buy this and buy that. Of course you have to go through shopping area to get anywhere.

You don't have to pay extra for Flowrider, so I'm not sure I trust much else that was said in this review either. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We always check our bill daily, unfortunately ship crews are busy. sorry for your experience but RC is still a great cruise line.

We have cruised RC 5 times and never had any of those problems

Not sure why you couldn't find free food outside the buffet and MDR - there are lots of free dining options you apparently missed out on.

Cruising isn’t for everyone. Don’t cruise on a holiday or when schools are out for a better experience.
