Review summary

One of the best boats I have been on. Great shape and thumbs up to a great crew. Had a blast. Loved Giovanni’s.

Embarkation

A little longer than expected, but with that many people it was expected.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Did unlimited dining. Giovanni’s was our favorite. We dined there 3 times. Had a great time there with staff. Food was great. Good variety.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Boardwalk was fun. Top deck was great to view Gulf and watch the flowriders. Great for the younger crowd. My mind wanted to do it but my body said no. The track is huge. We got our steps in while enjoying the view. Wife enjoyed shopping aboard.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All were great. Ice show was my #1. Get there early to get a good seat. All were very popular.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All were top notch. Room was made every time we came back. Waiters in specialty restaurants were very good. Dining was a pleasure. Even Johnny Rockets was a lot of fun and food was always good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Crew did an excellent job cleaning ship. It sparkled it was so clean. Very easy to get around this large ship. You will definitely get your steps in. Plenty of spots to go if you want peace and quiet or a lot of action. Something happening most of the day. You won’t get bored.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean. We brought a mattress topper which helped make the bed match ours at home. You won’t need it for back sleepers, but wife and I are both side sleepers. Out steward was one of the hardest workers aboard. Always friendly and made sure we were taking care of. Balcony was great. Very back of boat. Very quiet and comfortable.

Ship tip

Have patience boarding, have lunch at Johnny Rockets and go to Sabors to make all your dining reservations for the week. Space out your shows. Don’t try to do too much at first.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
Boarding and disembarking was a little messy. Still working out the bugs. Have patience and be respectful to others. Some people can be rude.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
Left boat late. Shopped the port. Took pictures. Went back on boat to lay out.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Did ruins. Had fun. Rained when we arrived but cleared up enough the get around. Had to watch your step on the dirt paths. Tour director was great. Daniel Jr made the trip. A wealth of knowledge on the culture.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Shopped port and got back on boat. So much to do on boat when most are on excursion.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Mass confusion where shuttles pick up. Not enough room for all the people trying to board shuttles. Too much traffic for buses and shuttles to get in and out. Cars should be routed differently than shuttle service.
