Was not a fan of this big ship. Lots of onboard activities, but all venues were crowded. Don’t like making reservations on the app. By time you get n the ship and have time to to reserve, the times you want are already taken. Luckily walked up at all the ice show and got right in. Casino seemed to pay better the first and last night. Loved the nonsmoking side in the casino. Central Park is quiet and beautiful.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Buffet was good, not great. Main dining room food and service was by far the worst we’ve experienced in 15 cruises. The lobster on 2nd formal was the worst. Very mushy and just not good. Our assistant waiter was on his very first cruise, and was just walking around in a daze.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Did not do any onboard activities, but there was plenty to do.
Entertainment

Didn’t get to see Mamma Mia, but the ice show and Oceanaria were excellent. Especially enjoyed the aqua show. The musicians on the promenade were very good, especially enjoyed the cowboy trio.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward, Omar, was excellent. Only complaint was we never got a cruise compass on our bed. Found out, on the last day, you had to ask for the paper copy. Our main waiter in the dining room seemed overwhelmed. We always got seated early, but he always seemed rushed. The assistant waiter was bad. Only thing he could remember was what drinks we wanted. But he couldn’t keep them refilled. Told him we only wanted the cheese rolls in our bread basket. Always got an assortment. Bar tender Hardie at Sorrentos and Rabye in Boleros were both excellent.
Ship Quality

Ship was beautiful. Was always someone cleaning the railings.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was a bit cramped. Did not like the layout with the vanity over by the balcony door. Also hard to get in the closet. There was no alder bar for the shower head. I am short, so was hard to shower without getting my hair wet. And the handheld shower head was up so high I could barely reach it.
Ship tip
Wear a mask! We came home with the flu. People were coughing and sneezing and trying to cram in the elevators.
JFI, More people catch viruses like Covid by touching contaminated surfaces than airborne. Think of everyone touching the food tongs in the buffet, the elevator buttons and the railings. We bring disposable plastic food service gloves for the buffet.
We were on the same sailing and I agree with almost everything you say. We were in a Junior Suite and had a great steward but our experience in the MDR was identical. We did make Mama Mia which was fantastic.
This is a horrible review fir such a great ship. We were on in November 2019 and everything was great. Food in MDR delicious every night. Breakfast in MDR also delicious. Could order off the menu or/and go to buffet there. Ship was not crowded except for one day when there was sprinkling and no one was out side at pools. The shows were wonderful. We’ve been on 10 cruises and loved them all but The Allure was a favorite.
