Review summary

Beautiful ship. Not enough daytime activities. Large number of Covid cases due to ship being close to capacity.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth. Everyone was very friendly and it was quick and easy getting on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent. Lots of different choices. Wait staff were great.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did the zip line and mini golf and they were both fun.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The singers and comedians were wonderful as were the ice and aquatic shows. The main show that they advertised, “Mamma Mia” was not shown but the most disappointing thing about this was it was never addressed or announced. Rumor between the guests was that some of the cast had Covid and they were all in quarantine. Since Royal Caribbean never felt it necessary to make any kind of announcement regarding this, we are going with what the rumor was. Very unprofessional of Royal Caribbean.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Shahanah was wonderful. All of their staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was beautiful but lounges were not adequate for the number of people they tried to pack in for various activities. (Probably one reason so many guests got Covid)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was very nice.

Ship tip

Beware! Ship was close to capacity. This cruise turned into a Covid super spreader. 4 out of 6 in our group came home and tested positive. A ton of people on this cruise did. If I ever cruise again, it will be on a smaller, less crowded ship.

We just got off anthem of the seas. My husband tested positive the evening we got home. We wore masks all the time . We were told France & Spain was compulsory to wear masks on public transport. This didn’t happen. We felt really uncomfortable on the ship. We will be sticking to smaller ships . We tested negative the morning we left the ship , I think there is a problem coming with covid on ships.

After reading the “super spreader” comment; I can’t take anything in this review seriously.

All it takes is one Covid infected person to infect others so capacity won’t matter much

Hard to know if a ship is at capacity, wish it was easy to find out. Maybe we just need to wait a bit longer.
